Madhuri Dixit:
(Born on 15 May 1967) is an Indian film actress who has appeared in Hindi films. Often cited by the media as one of the best actresses in Bollywood,Dixit made her film debut in Abodh (1984) and received wider public recognition with Tezaab (1988). She went on to establish herself as one of Hindi cinema's leading actresses, acknowledged for several of her performances, her beauty, and her accomplished dancing.
Some of her proceeding films include such box-office hits as Dil (1990), Saajan (1991), Beta (1992), Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! (1994) and Raja (1995). After a relatively low phase, she reinvented herself with the romance Dil To Pagal Hai (1997) and subsequently received critical acclaim for her work in films like Mrityudand (1997), Pukar (2000), Lajja (2001) and Devdas (2002). In 2002, she retired from films in order to raise her children and made a comeback with the musical Aaja Nachle in 2007.
Dixit has won five Filmfare Awards, four for Best Actress and one for Best Supporting Actress. She holds the record for the highest number of Best Actress nominations at Filmfare, with 13. In 2008, she was awarded the Padma Shri, India's fourth-highest civilian award by the Government of India.
She is married to Dr Shriram Madhav Nene, with whom she has two children

Early life:

Madhuri Dixit is a native of Mumbai, India. She was born Madhuri Shankar Dixit to Shankar and Snehlata Dixit, of a Marathi Brahmin family. Dixit attended Divine Child High School and Mumbai University and studied to be a microbiologist.She is a trained Kathak dancer and a great admirer of it^.

Dixit is not only known for her acting skills,but for her dancing skills as well.Often referred to as the "Dhak Dhak Girl", she is famous for her dance in the song "Dhak Dhak Karne Laga" from the film Beta. In 2001 on the popular game show Kaun Banega Crorepati's first season, hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, she won 50,00,000 that she donated for people affected in natural calamities. She also made an appearance in Season 4's Grand Finale that aired in 2010.
In 2002, Madhuri Dixit hosted a TV show Kahina Kahi Koi Hai which was a match-making show that aired on Sony Entertainment.She also made appearances on Koffee with Karan in Season 2 & Season 3 that aired in 2007 & 2011. Her Season 2 appearance was a solo appearance and in Season 3 she shared the chat show with Sonakshi Sinha.

In 2009 Madhuri Dixit performed for NDTV Toyota Greenathon - an environment campaign India's first ever nationwide campaign for save the environment and creating awareness about environmental issues.NDTV organised India's first 24 hours live telethon a fund raising event that brings in people to donate money to support TERI's initiative - Lighting a billion lives which aims at providing solar power to villages without electricity. Madhuri Dixit is a brand ambassador and a patron for Emeralds for Elephants - a charity project for the conservation of Asian Elephants and other endangered species.This project has been designed to create awareness and raise vital funds for the protection of the critically endangered Asian Elephant.A collaborative project between the World Land Trust and the Wildlife Trust of India that is creating protected wildlife corridors connecting National Parks and protected areas to others.Speaking about the issue she said: "Elephants are one of my favourite animals and I love them.So what we need to do today is to see how we can preserve our animals.I feel very strongly about this"

Personal life:

On 17 October 1999, Madhuri Dixit married Shriram Madhav Nene, a UCLA-trained cardiovascular surgeon who practiced in Denver^. Nene is also from a Marathi Brahmin family.They have two sons, Arin (born in March 2003) and Raayan (born in March 2005). After marriage, Dixit had relocated to Denver, US for almost a decade. In October 2011, Dixit again shifted her base back to Mumbai, India, along with her family.
Madhuri Dixit has been the muse for the famous Indian painter M.F. Husain. He was so fascinated by Madhuri Dixit in Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! that he watched the film 67 times, and in 2007 he booked an entire theatre to see her comeback movie Aaja Nachle.He made a series of paintings of her, and in 2000 made a film named Gaja Gamini starring her, which was intended as a tribute to Dixit herself.

Career:

She did her schooling from Sacred Heart Convent, Ludhiana. She was first recognized for her work in Shaheed-e-Mohabbat and went on to win more than 25 awards in the film industry, including the Zee Cine Award for Best Supporting Actress for her work in Veer Zaara and the IIFA Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Delhi 6. She has been nominated for the Filmfare and Star Screen Award twice. She also won the Star Sabse Favorite Kaun Award for her role in Welcome to Sajjanpur.

Personal life:

Esha was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, and given the full name of Esha Dharmendra Deol. The name 'Esha' comes from the Upanishads and is derived from the Sanskrit language meaning "the divine beloved". She is the elder daughter of Bollywood actors Dharmendra and Hema Malini. She has a younger sister named Ahana. She is the half-sister of actors Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol. She is the first cousin of actor Abhay Deol.
She is part Punjabi and part Tamil and speaks Tamil with her mother and sister. Esha Deol got engaged to boyfriend Bharat Takhtani,a businessman on 12th February, 2012. She has the Gayatri Mantra and a symbol of the yoga asana Scorpio in a sunburst tattooed on her back and a scorpion with a small red heart on her left breast. She is passionate about football and plays the midfielder position. She was captain of her school football team, represented her college in handball at the state level and was selected for the Indian national woman's football team.

Deol attended Mithibai College in Mumbai where she planned to be become a fashion designer. Deol trained in the Odissi dancing style under Mumbai guru Rabindra Atibuddhi. She was trained by and performs classical Bharatanatyam dance with her mother.

Career:

Deol's film career began with Koi Mere Dil Se Pooche for which she won three awards. She released several unsuccessful films in 2003. In 2004 she played a French teacher in Aayutha Ezhuthu. She went on to repeat the role in the Hindi remake Yuva.This led to a breakthrough on her career as in that same year, she appeared in the multistarrer Dhoom. She had success in Dus and No Entry
Deol's portrayal of a notorious and vengeful ghost in Ram Gopal Verma's Darling (2007) was reviewed positively. Taran Adarsh from indiaFM noted that, "Esha Deol is excellent in a role that’s nothing short of a challenge. It would’ve boomeranged had it been entrusted to any inferior actor, but Esha is in terrific form here. This should be the turning point in her career."
She is set to star in her mother's next directorial venture with Rekha and Abhishek Bachchan and also a film in which she is cast with her mother.
Deol's next film was called Tell Me O Kkhuda. She portrayed the lead role in the film opposite Rishi Kapoor. She will also appear in Shivam Nair's Ghost Ghost Na Raha with Rahul Bose and Ayaz Khan.
Deol has replaced Jacqueline Fernandez in the the forthcoming film Raaz 3. Reportedly she had some issues with the outfits she had to wear to look sexy in the film.It is being said that Director Sajid Khan advised her not to wear revealing clothes and do steamy scenes like a B Grade actress if she want to become an A Grade actress in Bollywood. (Born on December 9, 1981) Dia Mirza Handrich nicknamed Dee is a Indian model and actress who appears in Bollywood films. The actress along with her boyfriend Sahil Sangha and good friend Zayed Khan has started her own production house, Born Free Entertainment, their first film Love Breakups Zindagi made under the banner was released on 7 October 2011.

Personal life and education:

Dia Mirza was born in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. Her father, Frank Handrich, was a German graphic and industrial fair designer, architect, artist and interior designer from Munich and her mother, Deepa is a Bengali Hindu who is an interior designer, landscaper and currently does social work as a volunteer to help alcoholics and addicts. They separated when she was six years old. Her father died when she was nine and her mother remarried Ahmed Mirza, who died in 2004. She adopted her stepfather's surname Mirza and has recently adopted the last name of her birth-father and became Dia Mirza Handrich. She is a Hindu.
When living in Khairatabad, Hyderabad district, she attended Vidyaranya High School for Boys And Girls, a school based on the teachings of Jiddu Krishnamurti, and later Nasr School, in Khairtabad. She attended Stanley Junior College and completed her graduation in Bachelors of Arts from Andhra Pradesh Open University, Hyderabad.

Career:

Diya Mirza started working at the age of 16 years while continuing her college education. She worked as a marketing executive in a multi-media firm called Dr. Neeraj’s Multi media studio. She simultaneously modelled for the print and television advertisement campaigns of various brands such as Walls, Lipton, Emami etc.Mirza wanted to complete her graduation in Arts by correspondence, but decided to postpone it as it was becoming difficult to juggle between the Miss Asia Pacific competition, modeling assignments, travelling and training.

Miss Asia Pacific:

Diya Mirza was a second runner up at Femina Miss India, 2000 and was subsequently sent to Miss Asia Pacific, where she won. When she won the Miss Asia Pacific title on 3 December 2000 in Manila, Philippines, she became the first Indian contestant to win this title in 29 years.She completed the hat-trick of India winning international pageants in the year 2000; Lara Dutta won the Miss Universe title and Priyanka Chopra won the Miss World title in the same year.

Film career:

Diya Mirza made her cinematic debut with Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein opposite R. Madhavan. Although the film was not a box office success, she appeared in Parineeta, a Vidhu Vinod Chopra production. She also starred in the music video, Kajara Mohabbat Wala alongside Sonu Nigam from his album Kajara Nite. The album contained multiple remixes, but was mainly advertised with the title song, sung by Sonu Nigam and Alisha Chinai.
She also appeared in the films Dus and Fight Club. She was the only female actor among the six key characters in the film, Acid Factory in which she played a femme fatale who is also a gangster.

Community Services:

Diya Mirza has been involved with Cancer Patients Aid Association, Spastics Society of India, and has worked extensively with government of Andhra Pradesh to spread HIV awareness, prevention of female foeticide, PETA, CRY and most recently the NDTV Greenathon – an effort to find tangible solutions against pollution and book, "Deke Dheko" by Radio Mirchi (a campaign initiated to collect books for underprivileged children). Her other hobbies include writing, reading, painting, pottery, horse riding and theater. She has written several articles for The Hindustan Times and various other publications as a guest writer. She is on the board of the Coca Cola foundation that works towards development in rural India.She recently adopted 2 cheetah cubs at the Prince of Wales zoological park in Lucknow.

Controversies:

Diya Mirza and fellow-actor Aamir Khan publicly expressed support for the Narmada Bachao Andolan, a group protesting the building of a dam. This aroused the ire of political activists from the Bharatiya Janata Party, who led a protest march against the actress.Pakistani and Indian news media spread that Shoaib Akhtar was going to marry Bollywood actress Diya Mirza, which she denied.

Early life and modeling career:

Basu was born in Delhi to a Bengali Hindu family. She is the second of three sisters, the elder one being Bidisha and the younger one, Bijayeta. She lived in Delhi till the age of eight in Pampoosh Enclave, Nehru Place and studied at Apeejay High School.Her family then moved to Kolkata where she studied science till 12th standard at Bhavan's Gangabux Kanoria Vidyamandir. Basu, who describes herself as a tomboy, was pampered as a kid and was very naughty. She was fondly called 'Lady Don' in her school as everyone was scared of her and she was short and round.
Basu moved to the commerce stream after 10th standard, studying at Bhawanipur Education Society College in preparation for the 12th standard board exams. Debut and Breakthrough:

One of the judges of the Godrej Cinthol Supermodel Contest in which Basu participated, Vinod Khanna, wanted to launch her alongside his son Akshaye Khanna in Himalay Putra, but she felt she was too young and declined the role which eventually went to Anjala Zaveri. After returning home, she was convinced by another judge, Jaya Bachchan, to play the role of a village belle opposite her son Abhishek Bachchan in J. P. Dutta’s Aakhari Mughal. However the film was cancelled, and Dutta instead changed the script and made Refuge with Kareena Kapoor.Basu was also offered a role in Refugee opposite Sunil Shetty, which she declined^.
In 2001, Basu finally made her debut opposite Akshay Kumar in Vijay Galani’s Ajnabee. The film, directed by Abbas-Mustan, was inspired by the American film Consenting Adults.It was a moderate box-office success and attracted unfavorable reviews from critics.However, Basu’s performance in a negative role was appreciated by critics and won her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. In 2002, Basu starred in the year’s most successful thriller, Raaz.Directed by Vikram Bhatt, the film established Basu in the Hindi film industry. Her portrayal of a woman who is pursued by a spirit received positive reviews. One review in The Tribune noted, "...it is Bipasha Basu who steals the show with her fine performance."^[19] She was nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress for Raaz.She then appeared in supporting roles in Sanjay Gadhvi’s Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai and David Dhawan’s Chor Machaaye Shor, both of which failed critically and commercially. In 2003, Basu starred in Pooja Bhatt’s thriller, Jism, which was well received by critics and fared well at the box office.She essayed the role of seductive, ambitious wife of a millionaire who indulges in an extra-marital affair with an alcoholic lawyer and plots to kill her husband. The film ranked 92 in the top 100 sexiest movie scenes poll conducted by Channel 4.Film critic Taran Adarsh of Bollywood Hungama commented, "...the real show stealer is Bipasha Basu ; her sexy look and seductive deep voice, in contrast with her cold and calculating personality, makes her the most impressive femme fatale since Zeenat Aman and Parveen Babi."She received a Filmfare Best Villain Award nomination for Jism. Her next release, Zameen, failed to make impact among audience.
Basu had four releases in 2004, all of which performed moderately and drew mixed reviews. She collaborated for the second time with Vikram Bhatt in her first release Aetbaar. She played the role of a young girl who falls in love with a psychopath.Her next film was Mani Shankar’s Rudraksh which was based on the Indian epic Ramayana. The film was a disaster at the box-office and was panned by the critics.She then starred in Rakht as a tarot card reader trying to solve a murder mystery. In 2005, she appeared in the love triangle Barsaat alongside Bobby Deol and Priyanka Chopra. Taran Adarsh commented, "...As an actor, she [Bipasha Basu] does show sparks only towards the end."She also starred in the Tamil film, Sachein which was a hit and then in Prakash Jha’s Apaharan, which won the National Film Award for Best Screenplay.In this period, she refused to act in art-films due to salary problems.Besides acting, Basu did the video "Tu" for Sonu Nigam's album, Kismat.

In Vishal Bharadwaj’s adaptation of Othello, Omkara, Basu essayed the role of Bianca. She caught the attention of public with her dance number Beedi which was highly popular in India and overseas.Basu became the talk of the town for donning a bikini in Aditya Chopra’s Dhoom 2. She reportedly ate only oranges for three days and trained hard to shoot the scene.Nikhat Kazmi of The Times of India commented, "Aah Bipasha! In 2007, Ronnie Screwvala’s Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal performed below average at the box-office. The song picturised on John Abraham and Basu, "Billo Rani", became quite popular and earned her the nickname "Billo Rani", though equal credit must be given to Omkara in which her name was Billo Chanambahar.In 2008, she teamed up once again with Abbas-Mustan for Race. She played the role of Sonia who is stuck in a love-triangle between two brothers (played by Saif Ali Khan and Akshaye Khanna) and through the course, she murders one of them. The film grossed 68 crores at the box office and was the fourth-biggest hit that year in India and performed good enough overseas as well.Her performance was appreciated by critics with Taran Adarsh citing it as "her best work so far. She’s superb".Basu’s work in Siddharth Anand’s Bachna Ae Haseeno as a successful supermodel who finds it hard to forgive her ex-lover for betraying her earned her a second nomination for Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award. She completed 2008 by appearing during the song "Phir Milenge Chalte Chalte" in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.
Her first release in 2009, Aa Dekhen Zara failed to do well at the box-office.Rohit Shetty’s All The Best: Fun Begins performed well and her comic role was appreciated by fans.Later that year, Basu surprised everybody with Rituparno Ghosh’s Bengali film, Shob Charitro Kalponik. "I love saris and I'm wearing a lot of them in Ritu's film," she said.She gave up her glamorous look and was praised by critics for her performance. Critic Subhash K Jha spoke high of her. Early life:

Ayesha was born in Chembur Mumbai, Maharashtra to a Gujarati father, Nishit and a muslim mother, Farida. She attended St. Anthony's High School in Chembur. She has a younger sister named Natasha takia^.

Career:

Ayesha started her career with Shahid Kapoor in the "I am a Complan Girl!" advertising campaign and she also appeared in a music video, Falguni Pathak's Meri Chunarii Udd Udd Jaye, when she was fifteen. She then appeared in the video, Shake It Daddy when she was sixteen, which brought her to the attention of the film industry, and a few film offers followed. She signed a contract for Socha Na Tha. However, there were delays in making Socha Na Tha so the film Taarzan released first and was therefore her "debut" film. She won the Filmfare Best Debut Award in 2004 for her performance in Taarzan: The Wonder Car. She earned critical acclaim for her performance in Nagesh Kukunoor's Dor.
In 2009, Wanted costarring Salman Khan emerged as one of the biggest commercial success of her career. The film was third highest grossing movie of the year.Her role met with positive reviews. She then starred in Paathshaala along with actor shahid kapoor. As of 2011 she starred in Mod which met with good response.

Personal life:

On 1 March 2009, Ayesha married Farhan Azmi, a restaurateur and the son of politician Abu Asim Azmi, a Samajwadi Party leader. The couple had originally planned to marry in December 2008.

Early life:

Dutta was born in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh to an Indian father and an Anglo-Indian mother.Her father is Wing Commander L.K. Dutta (retired) and her mother is Jennifer Dutta. She also has two elder sisters, one of whom serves in the Indian Air Force and a well known younger sister. Composer and DJ Nitin Sawhney is Dutta's cousin.The Dutta family moved to Bangalore in 1981 where she completed high school from St.Francis Xavier Girls' High School and the Frank Anthony Public School. Dutta graduated in economics with a minor in communications from the University of Mumbai.

Acting career:

Dutta signed up for the Tamil film, Arasatchi in 2002, but due to financial problems, it was only released in mid-2004. She then appeared in a number of films, some of which failed at the box office and some of which were moderately successful. In 2005, Sania Mirza and Dutta both participated in Kaun Banega Crorepati (season 2) on 13 November 2005.Dutta's first release of 2007 was Shaad Ali's Jhoom Barabar Jhoom. The film was a box office failure in India but did better overseas, especially in the U.K.She received mixed reviews for her performance in the film. Her later release, Partner opened to a good response and became a hit.
Her 2009 release, Blue, was one of the most expensive movies of Indian cinema. Dutta had initially walked away from the project because the movie was entirely shot in the ocean and she did not know how to swim. However the male protagonist Akshay Kumar encouraged her in learning how to swim and she immediately started training with a special coach. Blue was released on 16 October 2009.She stated that "The moment I got to know of it, I called Akshay and told him that I wouldn't be able to accept the assignment. He knew the reason behind my decision. Not many people are aware that I had almost drowned while shooting for Andaaz, Akshay had rescued me. When I reminded him I couldn't swim, he told me to forget my phobia and learn swimming pronto," said Dutta. "Today, I feel Blue has not merely made me overcome my phobias, but has also taught me something that will stay with me for the rest of my life".
Her 2010 release Housefull was a Super hit across India. The movie starred Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone and Riteish Deshmukh. It was the 5th biggest hit in the country with Rs 955 Millions of gross revenue .She played the role of Hetal Petal, one of the main characters in the movie.
In 2011, her first movie as a producer, Chalo Dilli, was released.

Personal life:

Dutta dated New York Yankees player Derek Jeter when she lived in New York City. There she was spotted at a baseball game in Yankees Stadium and a news items was carried on ESPN.
In September 2010, she got engaged to Indian tennis player, Mahesh Bhupathi.They married on February 16, 2011 in a civil ceremony in Bandra,and later followed it by a Christian ceremony on 20 February 2011 at Sunset Point in Goa.
On 1 August 2011, Dutta confirmed that she is pregnant with their first child.On 20 January 2012 it was confirmed by Bhupathi via a popular networking site that Dutta had given birth to a baby girl, they have named her Saira.

In 2007, She made a special appearance in Farah Khan's film, Om Shanti Om in the song "Deewangi Deewangi" with her sister and brother-in-law Arbaaz Khan.
